I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful and historical area. Pretty much everywhere you look you will be greeted with a beautiful scenic background. Between the farmlands, river banks, and quaint historical downtowns you really can't go wrong.
I have so many places I love doing sessions at locally, but I always turn back to my favorites!
1: Colonial Beach, Virginia
Dubbed, "The Playground of the Potomac," Colonial Beach is a fun and unique location.
Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset each day means you can't go wrong when booking.
Book a couple session and then head over to Dockside or High Tides for a fun night out. Bring your family out for some updated pictures while playing in the sand and then treat everyone to ice cream at The Ice Cream Hut or The Pink Poodle.

2: McGinniss Barn & Flower Farm
Located in rural King George County Virginia, McGinniss Barn and Flower Farm is a stunning escape from the fast paced world. The farm has been in the owner's family for generations which just adds on to the charm.
During the spring and summer months you will be met with the most beautiful flower fields.
On top of being a beautiful location for photo session this farm also holds various events throughout the year that are fun for the whole family.

3: Downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia
Historical Downtown Fredericksburg has something for everyone!
For the history buffs get out there and enjoy one of the many tours offered. For the antiquers be sure to check out all of the amazing shops. Don't forget to stop by the famous Carl's for some old fashioned frozen custard.
When it comes to photos, Downtown Fredericksburg makes for a gorgeous backdrop. From rooftops, to alley ways, to the river front you will not be disappointed!
