Spring is here!!

Spring is without a doubt my favorite season of the year. Everything starts to come back to life after the dormancy of winter and it's such a nice reminder of how beautiful change and new things can be.

Fall gets all the hype, especially when it comes time to take family pictures. Don't get me wrong it is beautiful and golden hour that time of year is STUNNING, but nothing beats the spring blooms!

If you are still on the fence about whether or not you should schedule spring pictures hopefully the reasons below will help.

1: The BEST reason to book spring pictures: The BLOOMS!

After a long winter of minimal daylight, dead grass and plants, and the bitter cold spring is such a breath of fresh air. The first bright pop of the yellow daffodils is always so exciting to see!

The grass and foliage coming back to life and bursting with all the greens and bold colors makes for a beautiful backdrop for any session. Kids love picking newly bloomed dandelions for their mamas, and these are always my favorite photos from spring sessions.

Depending on the location, late March to May is typically the best time of year for spring pictures.

2: The Weather

The days are getting longer and warmer and we are all kicking that seasonal depression to the curb!

After being pent up in the house for months it feels so good to get outdoors and enjoy time together as a family. I can't speak for everyone's kids, but mine want to be outside from sun up to sun down once the sixty degree weather hits.

When everyone isn't focused on huddling together to stay warm they can focus more on running around enjoying themselves, and that's exactly what we want at your session.

3: Beat The Rush

Over the years Fall pictures have become a favorite for most people. Most locations are crowded with photographers and their clients and most photographers have a packed schedule with very little wiggle room.

In the spring not only do you get to take advantage of the beautiful colors, but you also get less crowded locations and most likely an easier time getting booked.
