Outdoor Maternity Session in King George, Virginia | Maternity Photographer based in Virginia
Pregnancy Announcement | King George, Virginia
So exciting!!!
Expecting a new baby is such an exciting time, but I know all too well all the other crazy emotions that come along with pregnancy: happiness, sadness, anxiousness, confusion, bliss, etc.
The one thing you should never have to stress about is your maternity pictures (if you choose to have them). Be sure when searching for a photographer that you take the time to chat with your photographer. Ask them every question you may have, and then ask them again (because we all know pregnancy brain is a real thing!). Make sure that you click with the person you pick and that you feel 100% comfortable with them! You aren't going to click with everyone, and that is OK! Most photographers, in my experience, are more than happy to chat via email, phone call, zoom, or even a coffee date. We all just want the same things: for you to be comfortable, for you to love the experience, and for you to love your end result!

5 Tips for Your Maternity Session
1: Find your photographer early!
Be sure to reach out to your photographer early! Ideally you want to have your pictures done in your third trimester. If you wait too long to reach out, your photographer could be booked.
2: Be comfy!
Wear something that is comfortable and that makes you feel like the goddess that you are! Keep it as simple or as fancy as you'd like, but remember YOU need to feel good!
3: Treat yo self!
Pamper yourself before your session! Your hands will be shown in 90% of your pictures, so it's a great excuse to get that mani that I know you're over due for. If you're feeling next level, hire a hair and make up artist!
4: Prep yourself.
If you are bringing any sentimental items or outfit changes with you be sure to gather those the day before your session so that you are not rushing around the day of.
5: H2O, baby!
Stay hydrated throughout the day! Hydrated skin will look plump and fresh not to mention staying hydrated will help keep your energy up.
